NASCAR seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Social Content Producer based in our Concord, North Carolina office.
The Social Content Producer crafts engaging and innovative social-first content for platforms like TikTok, X, Facebook, Instagram, and the NASCAR mobile app for @NASCAR and our collection of tracks. The Producer ideates, shoots and edits pieces for our at-track coverage as well as brand content to highlight the sport and its drivers.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Develop, produce, and edit social-first content that highlights driver personalities, taps into our sport's unique history, showcases fandom, amplifies viral on-track moments, and gives fans behind the scenes access.
- Support NASCAR's at-track and event coverage, collaborating with social media team to develop race weekend/event shot lists, and traveling to races/events to produce, shoot, and edit video content and photos, ensuring the vision is fully executed.
- Engage in creative strategy planning to ideate and develop new social ideas that resonate with our audience to grow and enhance the NASCAR brand.
- Proactively conceptualize, storyboard and pitch original social content ideas for NASCAR & NASCAR Track's social media channels.
- Ideate and contribute, as needed, to paid social media video efforts, building and integrating partners into select social-first content.
- Manage video projects from start to finish: produce, shoot and edit video content for NASCAR's social channels, ensuring they meet quality, budget, and timeline requirements.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Social Media, Marketing, Creative Design, Digital, Editorial and Broadcasting.
- Stay current with the latest trends and advancements in social media platforms, storytelling and technology.
- Utilize analytics tools to track video performance and engagement metrics, using data to refine and pivot content strategies effectively.
- Approximate travel 40% including weekends
Required skills / experience:
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university required plus a minimum of four (4) years experience in video production, preferably with a focus on social media or digital content, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient on all Company provided hardware and software.
- Proficient in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and creative team environment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, demonstrating flexibility and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and tight timelines.
- Strong understanding of the best practices for social-first content on Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, X.
- Experience with motion graphics and visual effects using Adobe After Effects.
- Familiarity with the sports industry, particularly motorsports.
