What you will do:
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the maintenance operations to ensure effective utilization of workers, equipment, facilities, and materials while maintaining quality standards and endorsing safety.
Some key responsibilities for the Maintenance Manager:
- Oversee troubleshooting and maintenance mechanical equipment such as dock equipment, motors, pneumatic/electric tools, conveyor systems, and production equipment
- Strict adherence to and dedicated enforcement of safety rules, understanding the financial and morale impact of any injury or near-miss
- Maintain preventative maintenance records and schedules
- Coordinate with vendors for necessary repairs
- Review daily attendance, overtime needs, and time off requests
- Responsible for development of employee skills for future opportunities through cross-training
- Support in-house and off-site education
- Assist in hiring of new employees
- Conduct periodic performance reviews and provide performance feedback regularly
- Coordinate and assign duties appropriately
- Prepare and complete necessary reports
