Job Description:

The Senior Supplier Quality Engineer will be based in  Shanghai  . Responsible for supplier development in a manufacturing or service process, works with suppliers to continuously improve performance, implement process controls and develop quality assurance plans.

Responsibilities:

• New Supplier Qualification---Implement the new supplier qualification thru the process of capability matching, supplier risk assessment, supplier self-assessment, onsite qualification audit, qualification database management.
• Product Qualification---Implement PPAP (FAI). PPAP include FAI, Material Certificates, Quality/Process Control Plan, FMEA, MSA, SPC, RoHS compliance, Reliability Test, COC, etc.
• Pilot Run Tracking---Track the new qualified parts quality performance to ensure meet the customer quality requirements in pilot run phase. Drive supplier corrective action from supplier in Pilot Runs (1-3 lots) and smoothly transfer the pilot run to mass production.
• Performs quality audits on suppliers to assure products and services meet International Organization for Standards (ISO) and regulatory standards.
• VEA (Value-Added Engineering Activity) ---Understand customer drawing, specification to feedback value-added engineering proposal to customer and supplier for optimization of supplier manufacturing process or products.
• NCR resolution and Trouble Shooting--- Working as SME (Subject Matter Expert) to support on customer complaints,  supplier quality hot issue and trouble shooting.

Here is some of what you'll need (required):

• Typically requires a Bachelor degree in related field.
• Typically requires 5 years of experience in supplier quality control
• Has knowledge of manufacturing process, applications and process development in order to actively work with suppliers in improving quality components of goods and services.
• Capable to use the quality tools(SPC, 8D-5why, etc) to improve factory manufacturing process and product quality.
• Experience with fastener , rivet tool or inventor, power equipment are plus;
• Six sigma(Green Belt) is plus
• Good command of English
