Our General Claims department in West Trenton, NJ is looking for a Bodily Injury Representative (II/Sr.) candidate who has excellent communication skills as well as strong organizational and time management skills.
The Bodily Injury Representative is responsible for appropriately managing and resolving bodily injury claims which includes contacting insureds, claimants, attorneys, witnesses and other carriers, and investigating, negotiating, and settling claims based on company guidelines and applicable law to ensure timely, fair, and accurate claim resolutions.
Salary: The level and salary is commensurate with direct experience and credentials.
Level II - $61,256.00- $77,255 annually based on experience
Senior - $81,123.90-$94,141 annually based on experience
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Conclude all claims and the associated increase in volume and complexity, with appropriate closing documents and reports signifying resolution in a timely manner.
Investigate, review, analyze, and evaluate assigned claims expeditiously in preparation for prompt resolution.
Initiate appropriate action to conclude all claims in a manner consistent with existing law, license and company guidelines.
Conduct ongoing review independently and with supervisor of all assigned files focusing on adequacy of reserve and required investigation.
Arbitrate the required amount of cases through Arbitration Forums to ensure compliance with member contract.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of claims experience
Strong multi-tasking, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage time effectively.
Technical aptitude, including working knowledge with Microsoft Office.
The ability to think critically, use resources and seek answers.
High school diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree is a plus
Bodily Injury experience is preferred
Compensation: Salary is commensurate with experience and credentials.
