Here at NJM Insurance Group, a top-rated insurance company, our Workers' Compensation Legal department is seeking an individual for the Sr. Legal Administrative Assistant position.  This position is based at our Parsippany office with the opportunity to work a hybrid schedule- 3 days in the office and 2 days remote per week.

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:45AM to 5:00PM

Salary: $46,600 – $54,160 Compensation is commensurate with experience and credentials

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and file Claim Petition Answers, Motions, Briefs, Certifications and Affidavits

  • Prepare and respond to Discovery Demands, Subpoenas and HIPAAs

  • Support Attorneys in day-to-day management of litigated files

  • Provide litigation assistance for Regional Claims

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years in a legal support capacity; Workers' Compensation or otherwise

  • Ability to accurately organize and prepare legal documents

  • Ability to coordinate physician exams; identifying and compiling appropriate pleadings and medical records; and witness/physician testimony in line with applicable jurisdictional laws and statutes

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail and customer service

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities efficiently

  • Must have the ability to prioritize and proactively manage a large case load

  • Ability to work independently, and collaboratively

  • Experience working with laws and statutes governing workers' compensation litigation and civil tort litigation in multiple jurisdictions preferred (including but not limited to NJ, NY, PA, CT, DE, MD)

  • Electronic filing experience preferred
