At NJM, we prioritize applicants looking to learn, collaborate and support our policyholders. We are seeking an attorney to join our Workers' Compensation legal team with 0-3 years of workers' compensation or other litigation experience to defend formal claims venued in northern New Jersey.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Defend the interests of NJM policyholders in New Jersey workers' compensation court through the point of settlement or decision
  • Work with staff in the preparation of pleadings, motions, briefs, and other documents
  • Provide case recommendations, updates, and analysis to clients and internal Workers' Compensation Claims staff
  • Build and maintain strong internal and external client relationships
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • 0-3 years of prior litigation or legal experience.  Workers' compensation and/or personal injury litigation experience is a plus.
  • Currently licensed to practice law in NJ
  • Analytical ability and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong negotiation, communication and legal research skills
  • Ability to travel within the state and cover multiple counties

Compensation: Salary is commensurate with experience and credentials.

Pay Range: $100,226-$113,404
