At NJM, we prioritize applicants looking to learn, collaborate and support our policyholders. We are seeking an attorney to join our Workers' Compensation legal team with 0-3 years of workers' compensation or other litigation experience to defend formal claims venued in northern New Jersey.
Job Responsibilities:
- Defend the interests of NJM policyholders in New Jersey workers' compensation court through the point of settlement or decision
- Work with staff in the preparation of pleadings, motions, briefs, and other documents
- Provide case recommendations, updates, and analysis to clients and internal Workers' Compensation Claims staff
- Build and maintain strong internal and external client relationships
- Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- 0-3 years of prior litigation or legal experience. Workers' compensation and/or personal injury litigation experience is a plus.
- Currently licensed to practice law in NJ
- Analytical ability and strong attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong negotiation, communication and legal research skills
- Ability to travel within the state and cover multiple counties
Compensation: Salary is commensurate with experience and credentials.
Pay Range: $100,226-$113,404Eligible full-time employees receive a competitive Total Rewards package, including but not limited to a 401(k) with employer match up to 8% and additional service-based contributions, Health, Dental, and Vision insurance, Life and Disability coverage, generous PTO, Paid Sick Leave, and paid parental leave in addition to state-mandated leave.
