Description
at NorthBay Health the Clinical Nurse (RN) in the Cath Lab Observation unit has the responsibility, accountability, and the authority to deliver safe, effective, quality, excellent nursing care according to the philosophy and goals/objectives of the Department of Nursing. The RN, utilizing Jean Watson's Theory of Caring Relationship Based Care, and NorthBay's professional nursing practice model assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for all patients assigned to his/her care. The RN makes determinations regarding the progress of the patient toward goals and utilizes a therapeutic professional relationship with the patient/family and interdisciplinary team to facilitate the promotion, maintenance, and restoration of health. Care is provided according to the specific physiologic, developmental and psychosocial needs of the patient. Supports the mission, vision, values and expectation of excellence of the organization.

Qualifications
Education:
Graduate from an accredited school of professional registered nursing.
BSN required by January 1, 2020, unless grandfathered as outlined in March 2014 letter.
Licensure:
- Valid and current RN license by the State of California.
- Current AHA or AHA equivalent BLS.
- Current ACLS
Experience:
- A minimum of two years in critical care or equivalent required.
- One year Pre/Post Cath Lab and/or stress testing preferred.
- Assessment, monitoring and care of patients requiring procedural sedation.
- Assessment and monitoring of critical patient.
- Pre and post procedure assessment monitoring and care of cardiac and IR patients.
- As assigned to EKG – Expanded Role RN stress test credentialing.
- Proficient written, verbal, and electronic communication skills.
Work Hours:
- FTE: 1.0 (Full-Time)
- Schedule: 40 hours weekly
- Shift Length: 10-hour shifts
Stand-by availability required with 30 minute arrival time.
Compensation:
- Hourly Salary Range Min $77.39 - Max $93.32 (Offered hourly rate based on years of experience)
