At NorthBay Healthcare the Director, Oncology Services is responsible for establishing the vision and direction of NorthBay's Oncology Services. This encompasses strategies, programs, processes and procedures, including measures of success, which are aligned with the organization's strategic direction and result in continual growth and development of the program. These responsibilities include operations, financial performance, clinical quality, service delivery, community outreach, and accreditation and licensure of all components of the cancer program (medical oncology, radiation oncology, infusion center, clinical trials, tumor registry and various tumor boards).
This individual works collaboratively with the AVP, Medical Directors and Cancer Center providers, staff and management team in planning and delivery an optimal level of care for the cancer patient. S/he operates from an expert knowledge base of cancer care. S/he supervises, coaches and mentors personnel. S/he ensures cost effective patient outcomes through the supervision of clinical/professional staff, collaboration with medical staff, nursing and support staff.
This Director ensures compliance with state/federal and other regulatory and accreditation body guidelines and requirements. This individual must be fiscally savvy, willing to assume new responsibilities as requested, accept accountability and operate effectively under pressure. Confidence, integrity, skilled communication and positivity are also essential.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or a related field.
- Master's degree highly preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 7–10 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience.
- At least 5 years in oncology services, service line leadership, or a closely related clinical specialty.
- Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams. Experience with budgeting, financial management, and business planning.
- Experience working closely with physicians and APPs in a dyad or service line model.
- Experience with regulatory and accreditation standards related to oncology.
- Experience preferred in an integrated health system or multi-site oncology program.
- Prior responsibility for service line P&L.
- Experience leading program growth, expansion, or turnaround initiatives.
- Familiarity with oncology clinical trials and research partnerships preferred

Compensation:
- $200K - $210K annual fixed salary, plus variable incentive plan
