Description

At NorthBay Health, the Integration Architect (IA) is a senior level role leading enterprise system integration efforts across our healthcare organization. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure integration solutions that support both clinical and business systems (e.g., Epic EHR, LIS, PACS, ERP, HR, finance), as well as data sharing with external sources.  The IA will partner with application owners, infrastructure teams, and external vendors to ensure seamless data flow and system interoperability. The IA will lead development projects and mentor and support team members. 



Qualifications

  1. Education:  Bachelor's degree in healthcare, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent (8 years) experience in healthcare IT field.
  2. Licensure/Certification: Current Epic Bridges certification is required and must be obtained within Six (6) months of hire if not already certified at the time of employment. Project Management and Process certifications preferred (e.g., PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, SAFe,, ITIL, TOGAF, COBIT, Six Sigma). 
  3. Experience: 7+ years of experience in healthcare IT with a focus on integration architecture and interoperability. Proven expertise with HL7 v2/v3, FHIR, CDA, and related healthcare data exchange standards. Experience with interface engines (e.g., Mirth Connect, Rhapsody, Cloverleaf, InterSystems Ensemble/HealthShare)
  4. Skills: The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7 and FHIR, and have deep experience with file transfer protocols and system integration across diverse platforms. Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication skills. Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  5. Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrates the True North values.   6. Hours of Work: Normally works eight-hour day.  Hours will vary according to work demands and project requirements; may require on-call support.
  7. Compensation: $70 to $85 based on years of experience doing the duties of the role.
