The IR Coordinator works in a high volume and fast paced office setting, The IR Coordinator coordinates with the Interventional Radiologist daily on the Interventional Radiology (IR) Schedule. The IR Coordinator assures all billing documentation and authorizations for IR procedures done in the Diagnostic Imaging and in the Cath Lab.  The IR Coordinator interviews the patient and/or their representative to secure accurate demographic and payer information ensuring the patient's care is not delayed. The IR Coordinator verifies and documents eligibility and benefits for patient's specific payer. The IR Coordinator organizes and distributes paper flow among facility staff. The IR Coordinator works closely with both the Diagnostic Imaging and Cath Lab staff. The IR Coordinator works in a high paced environment and must be able to handle multiple calls at a high rate. The IR Coordinator manages the daily/weekly schedule book and patient files. The IR Coordinator maintains knowledge of HIPAA laws/forms and ensures front desk is compliant at all times. The IR Coordinator processes all Interventional Radiology patient requests for viewing/amending PHI, accounting of disclosures, special privacy protections, confidential channel communication and complaints.

1. Education: High school graduate or equivalent preferred
2. Licensure/Certification:  AHA or equivalent BLS Certification.
3. Experience: General clerical, three or more years of clerical experience in a medical office setting preferably radiology and knowledge of HIPAA laws and guidelines.
4. Skills: Excellent customer service skills, comprehensive knowledge of payer and managed care requirements, advanced medical terminology, computer data entry and math skills.

Hourly Salary Range $29.78-$34.48(Offered hourly rate based on years of experience)
