Description
At NorthBay Health The Learning and Performance Specialist will provide learning and performance support to all NorthBay departments and workers. Responsible for modeling and training NorthBay's TrueNorth values. Consults with managers on staff development and work performance issues, including but not limited to competency evaluation and documentation, work environment assessments, new practice implementations, accreditation compliance.
Collaborates with subject matter experts to develop and deliver effective training and on-the-job support. Supports effectiveness of department-based trainers and resource staff. Advocates for strategic, regulatory, learning, and performance interests in organizational forums. Provides direct instruction, leadership to programs and/or teams as assigned. Works with Learning Team members to build infrastructure and work processes for lean organizational learning and performance. To the extent trained, works collaboratively with other HR team members to provide HR Generalist services.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree required, strongly preferable in healthcare, preferable in Education, Information Technology (IT), or Human Resources (HR).
- Master's degree strongly preferred to support consultative and education functions.
- College level coursework in adult learning, instructional design, group process, organization development strongly preferred.
Experience:
- Five years IT, clinical, and/or training experience required.
- Hiring manager exercises discretion in assessing past work experience against specific demands of this position for the experience requirement.
Skills:
- Excellent classroom and one-on-one training skills required.
- Instructional design skills required.
Compensation: $59.17 - $71.89 ( Max rate is commensurate of 20+ years of experience in this role)
