Description

At NorthBay Health this position is responsible for administering and maintaining assigned systems in a 24x7 high availability environment. Assigned systems may include the public and private network infrastructure and security considerations related to all associated components.  The incumbent works as part of a team that is responsible for the design, specification development, analysis, testing, implementation and general system administration and maintenance of assigned systems and related devices including performance analysis & tuning, system configuration, backups & recovery, capacity planning and security administration.  The incumbent will be primarily responsible for ensuring IT infrastructure devices and services are configured and maintained in such a way to minimize current and future security vulnerabilities.  The incumbent will be responsible for monitoring and auditing assigned systems as it relates to the ongoing health and security posture of said systems.  This position interacts with all levels of the hospital administrative and medical/clinical staff and works with the department's Technical, Operational and Applications support staff. The incumbent interacts with the system's customers and understands the role of the systems and stakeholders as they relate to the general organizational environment.

This position will work onsite. 

Limited hybrid schedule may be available to candidates who reside in a commutable distance to Fairfield, California. 



Qualifications

Education: 

  • Four-year degree in Information Technology/Security or equivalent work experience preferred. 
  • Current technical certifications in network engineering, network security/IT security preferred.
  • Desirable certifications include: CompTIA Sec+, CISSP, CEH, CISM/CISA, GSEC

Licensure:              

  • The position requires a valid California driver's license

Experience: 

  • Seven years of experience in an information technology security role engaging in direct systems support and enterprise infrastructure management.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a network engineer/security engineer in an enterprise 24x7 environment.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in health care information technology preferred.
  • Experience working with ITIL framework of best practices preferred.
  • Experience working within with requirements of a 24/7 Highly Available environment.
  • Experience working within the requirements of a change management system.
  • Extensive demonstrated experience and ability in working with IPv4, DHCP, DNS, Packet Analysis / Troubleshooting.
  • Extensive demonstrated experience in deploying, working with and troubleshooting Firewall Systems, Policies and ACLs, SIEM, Vulnerability Management Systems and PenTesting Tools.
  • Extensive experience with Network/Systems hardening techniques and security incident response.
  • Operational familiarity with network technologies / protocols such as Dynamic Routing Protocols, SSLVPN, IPSEC-VPN, Multicast, DSCP/QoS, NTP, SPAN, 802.1Q Trunking, Multi-Chassis VPC, SDWAN, SLA Targeting.
  • Experience working in a converged services network environment (Data/Voice/Video).
  • Experience working in a multipath network environment. Understands the complexities associated with ensuring optimal routing performance and avoiding outages.
  • Experience with AAA systems including Radius, LDAP, TACACS and FortiNAC.
  • Experience with tiered network architectures (Core / Distribution / Access). 
  • Preferred: Demonstrated experience with desktop scripting languages such as power shell and python, specifically used to automate repeatable processes and/or process/manipulate large amounts of data relevant to job function.

Skills: 

  • Advanced knowledge of network security standards, security administration, performance analysis & tuning, capacity planning, hardware and firmware maintenance. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex problems under pressure while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor. 
  • Advanced level knowledge of computer fundamentals, computer operations, telecommunications systems, and help desk methodologies. 
  • Should also have a general knowledge of the healthcare business and information systems as they affect clinician's workflow. 
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction/supervision is a must. 
  • The position requires dedicated attention to detail as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality of work-related information.
  • Ability to diagram systems architecture for presentation to management and other IT staff to communicate future requirements and current IT systems' operation. 
  • Ability to flow chart processes to identify bottlenecks and streamline procedures

Hours of Work: 

  • Normally works eight hours/day Monday through Friday. 
  • Occasionally must work late in the evening or on weekends to complete project objectives or emergency situations.
  • Hours will vary according to work demands.
  • Must be available by cell phone 24 hours a day 7 days a week according to a scheduled rotation for off hours infrastructure emergency support.

Compensation: 

Pay range is MIN $60.48 - $74.00 Offer based on years of experience
