Northwell Health's Division of Nephrology is seeking Transplant Nephrologists to join the Northwell Health Transplant Institute located at North Shore University Hospital in Long Island, NY. The position is clinical with teaching responsibilities and research opportunities.  In addition, there is an opportunity as a director for strategic outreach for the interested and qualified individuals.  The Northwell Health Transplant Institute boasts one of the fastest growing kidney transplant programs in the country which services Long Island and the NY metropolitan area. In addition to a kidney transplant program with nationally recognized outcomes, there is a robust heart, lung, and liver transplant program.  The transplant nephrologist will be joining a team of 4 transplant nephrologists and a faculty of over 20 general nephrologists and a long-standing general nephrology fellowship program. The division is well known for its expertise in clinical research in kidney transplantation, dialysis, anemia and hyperkalemia, outcomes research, COVID-related AKI, onconephrology and glomerular diseases.

Candidates for the Faculty position should have completed U.S.-based internal medicine residency training and general nephrology fellowship and an advanced year in an AST certified renal transplant fellowship and demonstrate the highest level of performance and scientific potential. Full-time clinical base compensation at Northwell Health ranges from $125K to $750K, which is impacted by various factors, including but not limited to physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience and productivity. The base compensation range listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
