- Minimum Years of Experience: 1 year
- Traveler Experience: Will accept 1st time travelers.
- Skills: Administer chemo. Experience in an inpatient setting is required
- JOB DETAILS: will work with oncology as well as medical surgical patients
- Target Ratios: 1:6-7
- RTO: 7 days MAX; DAYS; 36 or 48 hours
- PATIENT DIAGNOSES: High Acuity Adults and Geriatrics.
- Contract staff may be required to care for patients with COVID.
- SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: General medical-surgical diagnosis primary patient population. Administration of chemotherapy/biotherapy -IV, PO, or injection.
- UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication): PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR.
- UNIT ORIENTATION: 24 hrs (2 shifts)
- SCRUBS: Navy Blue and white.

- Certs: Chemotherapy administration certification is required prior to start; required to obtain prior to start. Will accept travelers that do not currently have the ONC cert! BLS.
- Charge nurse experience preferred.
- Schedule Information
- Shift: NIGHTS; 13-26 weeks accepted
- RTO: 7 days MAX; DAYS; 36 or 48 hours. If 48 then no OT billed until after 48.
- Call Requirement: Call required if called off on a prescheduled shift.
- Float Requirement: Floating required to similar units and alternate care locations with inpatients holding, such as inpatient holding in the ED, or any alternate medical patient care location.
- Weekend Requirement: *EVERY OTHER WEEKEND REQUIRED.
- ** Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed
- Unit Specific Information
- Daily Census 42.
- General medical-surgical diagnosis primary patient population.
- DKA - Insulin drip, AKI, Sepsis, Cancer, Septic shock, Pain, OD, Malignant Neoplasms, ARF, Encephalopathy, FTT, Diabetic foot ulcers, Heparin drips.

- Additional Accounting Documents required such as W4, State Specific W4, I9, Permanent Tax Declaration Form, Drivers License/State ID, Social Security Card, Voided Check, Emergency Contact Form, EOE Forms, E-Verify, Arbitration Agreement, Medical Refusal of Coverage.
