The NRECA Employee Benefits team works collaboratively with our business partners to deliver software solutions to our members. We are searching for a new team member who is adaptable, has strong communication skills, and can work effectively in a highly collaborative role. This role will help lead, and assist, on software development projects utilizing modern software development technology and practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and advise software development teams
- Collaborate within our immediate team and with our various business partners
- Oversee building, deploying, and maintaining of applications
- Work closely and collaboratively with team members
- Ensure the timely delivery of new software features to our members
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems Technology or 6-10 years equivalent experience.
- 8+ Years Development: Design, implementation, test, and support of software applications. Work on a product team utilizing agile techniques.
- 8-10 Years Back-End: Design and implementation of server-side functionality and APIs. Preferred: Node.JS, C#, ASP.NET.
- 8-10 Years User Interface: Design and implementation of user interface using modern JavaScript framework. Preferred: Angular.
- Leads interactions with other IT functional areas
- Ability to lead, coach others, and mentor more junior team members
- Strong communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in AWS services (CloudFormation, EC2, Lambda)
Essential Physical Requirements:
- The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal and extensive reading.
- Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.
