Olympus Controls is seeking a qualified individual who will support the production team's efforts to build products and provide services to our clients. The Warehouse Associate II is a highly organized, detail-oriented individual who efficiently uses their time while setting a high standard for safety and quality. They should have a desire to learn and grow in the fields of material handling, internal & external logistics and shipping and receiving. The Warehouse Associate II is a key member of a cross-trained warehouse team who can assist in other areas when needed.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Pull material and deliver completed job kits to appropriate locations on the production floor
- Quickly respond to material requests from the production floor
- Label completed assemblies and accurately report their location in the ERP system
- Processing, packaging, and shipping orders accurately
- Organizing stocks and maintaining inventory
- Inspecting products for defects and damages
- Package or crate Olympus Controls products and assemblies according to established standards, work instructions, or through supervision
- Responsible for making arrangements for domestic outbound shipments
- Responsible for making arrangements for outbound international and HazMat shipments
- Perform all shipping and receiving functions within ERP system
- Work with purchasing and planning to overcome late shipments
- Accurately record received goods locations using handheld PC
- Read and understand packing lists, bills of lading and shipping and receiving instructions
- Wrap and band pallets in preparation for shipment or storage
- Label incoming goods, and unpack and label cartons when appropriate
- Verify counts and other relevant information from packing lists and other shipping documents
- Perform daily cycle counts
- Replenish floor stock and Kanban bins as needed
- Promptly report material shortages through the proper channels
- Use pallet jack or forklifts to place/retrieve material from pallet racking
- Accurately add/update job material allocations in the ERP system
- Identify, locate, and correct improperly stored inventory and communicate any potential shortages/overages created because of the error
- Familiar with appropriate shipping methods and proper packaging requirements for Olympus Controls products and assemblies
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Experience:
- Highschool diploma or equivalent required
- 1-3 years of previous general labor/warehouse experience or internal training and experience
- Detailed oriented, ensuring material transactions are accurately reported
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to prioritize workload
- Ability to make reasonable judgement calls that are in-line with standard processes & procedures
- Knowledge of ERP system functionality & operation
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows & Office Applications
