After successful completion of the probationary period, employee will receive off probation wage increase.


Summary:

Performs a variety of administrative and staff support duties for the Oneida Nation Elementary School, which require a range of skills and a knowledge of organizational policies and procedures. Assist and directs visitors, and resolves administrative problems and inquiries; compose, edit, and proofread correspondence and report, and prepare a range of administrative documents. 


Responsibilities:

* Answer and screen incoming calls and correspondence; determine purpose of calls, and forward calls to appropriate personnel, ensuring professional telephone etiquette.
* Receive, sort, log, and route mail
* Record and deliver messages or transfers calls to voice mail when appropriate.
* Welcome visitor and determine nature of business, and announce visitors to appropriate personnel, maintaining professional and courteous demeanor.
* Assist with medications and first aide when nurse is not present.
* Communicate daily announcements using email and paging system.
* Maintain and operates office machines, equipment, and computers. Perform or coordinate general maintenance and repair
* Transmit outgoing faxes, retrieve, log, and distributes incoming faxes.
* Maintain inventory of office supplies.
* Contribute to a team effort and accomplish related results as required
* Photocopy, collate, distribute, and file documents.

* Must comply with Bureau of Indian Education criminal history records check as a condition of employment to include fingerprinting.

* Knowledge, experience, and skills operating a personal computer with word-processing, spreadsheet, and database software programs in a windows environment pertaining to leasing/various real estate information

* Ability to demonstrate excellence in everything, and continually seek improvement in results
* Knowledge of records management and basic accounting procedures.
* Knowledge of business English, proper spelling, grammar, punctuation, and basic arithmetic.
* Knowledge of the functions and structure of the Oneida Nation School System.

Education Requirement - Or A Closely Related Field:

Education with Equivalent Qualifications:
Essential:
* Applicants age 50 and older are exempt from this requirement
* General Ed, High School Equivalency Diploma, HS Diploma

Credentials:

Essential:
* Driver's License Personal & Tribal Vehicle
* Insurance Required
* CPR and Red Cross First Aide, within 90 days of employment

Must be willing and able to obtain additional related education and training.

Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and adhere to the Nation Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy.

A Tuberculosis (TB) Screening and/or a 2 step TB Skin Test is required within thirty (30) days of employment.

Must provide a copy of diploma/degree, license, or certification upon employment.
