Summary:

The Intake Coordinator is the first point of contact for families referred to BIE Early Intervention. The Intake Coordinator is responsible for gathering important medical/school information and facilitating a seamless intake process. They will work closely with families, healthcare providers, and school staff, managing student records, scheduling appointments, and addressing inquiries. 


Responsibilities:

* Welcome and admit families to the cottage, ensure families feel comfortable while at the cottage receiving services.
* Answer incoming telephone calls, correspondence, and in-person requests. Determine customer needs and process requests as appropriate. When appropriate, transfer calls or direct customers to the appropriate person or entity.
* Register families and create student records.
* Gather students' personal data, medical history and/or school records.
* Schedule appointments with therapists and teachers.
* Answer questions and give explanations about services
* Address any complaints or concerns or refer to the Director
* Review, edit and solve errors or problems regarding documentation
* Perform other general office duties, such as faxing, copying, maintain office supplies and orders, maintain office equipment
* Assist director to ensure compliance with regulations and policies
* Ensure documentation and records are accurate according to State and Federal Educational regulations

* General Ed, High School Equivalency Diploma, HS Diploma

Must be willing and able to obtain additional related education and training.

Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and adhere to the Nation Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy.

A Tuberculosis (TB) Screening and/or a 2 step TB Skin Test is required within thirty (30) days of employment.

Must provide a copy of diploma/degree, license, or certification upon employment.
