Salary is Negotiable

After successful completion of the probationary period, employee will receive off probation wage increase.


Summary:

Under direct supervision of the Medical Director, provides independent primary care in a variety of clinical settings to a specified population of non-emergency patients. Provides consultation and advice to others as a highly-specialized practitioner. Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information.  Continuation of this position is contingent upon funding allocations. 


Responsibilities:

1. Provide and manage direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses and treatment within subspecialty practice for a specified patient population.

2. Prescribe pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions.

3. Function independently within the established protocols, under the professional medical supervision of a local physician licensed to practice in the State of Wisconsin.

4. Secure a health and developmental history from patient or parents; record findings and formulate critical evaluations.

5. Differentiate between normal and abnormal findings to recognize early stages of serious physical, emotional or mental problems.

6. Identify and manage specific illnesses as directed by Supervisor.

7. Conduct specialty clinics, including but not limited to, well‑baby, well‑child, ambulatory care and reproductive health.

8. Provide direct psychological nursing care in the presence of illness or disability in order to maintain life, provide comfort, reduce stress and enhance coping abilities.

9. Refer patients to other specialists and to relevant patient care components as appropriate.

10. Order test for lab and ancillary services to determine cause of patient condition. Develops treatment plan for condition.

11. May train and supervise medical students and residents engaged in specialty activities and procedures, as appropriate.

12. Follow established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.

13. Participate in specified health promotion, education and/or prevention programs.

14. Provide treatment plans; write appropriate orders, including those for narcotics, stimulants, and depressant drugs.

15. Obtain patient histories and develop patient care charts, ensuring completeness and accuracy.

16. Provides health education to patients and families.

17. Provide direct psychological medical care in the presence of illness or disability in order to maintain life, provide comfort, reduce stress and enhance coping abilities.

18. Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, and workshops.

19. May perform clinical research related to specific operations.

20. Contribute to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required.

21. Adhere to all Tribal Personnel Policies and Procedures, Tribal Standard Operating Procedures, and Area and Program Strategic Plans and Policies.

22. Maintain strict department security, confidentiality, and quality to meet professional standards of the department.

Must pass a background check to meet Employment Eligibility Requirements. If applicable, must pass a background check to meet Oneida Nation/State Compact and/or Oneida Nation Gaming Ordinance, and may be required to obtain a temporary license and/or Gaming license as a condition of employment.

Must be willing and able to obtain additional related education and training.

Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and adhere to the Nation Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy.

A Tuberculosis (TB) Screening and/or a 2 step TB Skin Test is required within thirty (30) days of employment.

Must provide a copy of diploma/degree, license, or certification upon employment.
