Summary:
The Student Intern will learn the various duties of the Oneida Nation hiring process working with the Generalists, HR Specialists, and Recruiter to see what each position does. Work with department supervisors to provide customer service to meet their hiring requests. This role will learn about the Nation's HR Personnel Policies and Procedures and established regulations.
Responsibilities:
* Receive resumes and applications for open positions; work with the Hiring Committee in the screening and interviewing process.
* Complete skills and pre-employment testing
* Preparation of job packets
* Scanning documents into On Base program. 10%
* Above duties and responsibilities are not all inclusive but rather a general representation of the duties and responsibilities associated with this position. The duties and responsibilities will be subject to change based on organizational needs and/or deemed necessary by the supervisor.
* Learn to create position descriptions, input data in hiring workflows, and edit employee information in HR systems.
* Monitor applicant tracking software, complete employment verifications and background requests.
* Develop, maintain and facilitate effective relationships, communication, and activities with all internal and external customers
* Prepare, scan, maintain, and retrieve various department documents/records in the OnBase Software System

Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and adhere to the Nation Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy.
A Tuberculosis (TB) Screening and/or a 2 step TB Skin Test is required within thirty (30) days of employment.
