After successful completion of the probationary period, employee will receive off probation wage increase.


Summary:

Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance of time records according to established Time and Attendance standards and compensation regulations. Calculate, verify, process, adjust, post, and reconcile time records related to the Time and Attendance system. Communicate effectively with all levels of supervisory personnel, employees, and other entities, regarding information on the Time and Attendance system. Maintain the confidentiality of all privileged information. 


Responsibilities:

* Provide excellent customer service skills for all internal and external customers by furnishing accurate information where authorized, research and resolve issues, and provide assistance in a timely manner.
* Develop, maintain, and facilitate effective relationships, communication processes and activities with all personnel and internal/external customers.
* Ensure established procedures, and processes are utilized at all times for maximum understanding and coordination of services are in place.
* Inform supervisor of recommendations or ideas for improving services.
* Run reports and analyze time records to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. Adhere to all audit, department standard operating procedures, regulations/laws, and practices.
* Post and review all manual entries: process time according to Oneida Nation compliance standards, validate totals and balance all reports.
* Learn and utilize the appropriate revision process for corrections to a previous pay period. Corrections must be completed within established timelines.
* Research and resolve concerns for employees about their time records following the chain of command.
* Prepare, enter, verify, edit, file, and maintain approved vacation, personal, holiday, training, education, meeting, Early Return to Work Program, and other time and/or leave requests according to established policies and procedures.
* Organize, file, and maintain supervisor authorized changes and edits according to policies and procedures.
* Retrieve, organize, and provide reports, forms, and information to appropriate personnel as authorized/requested.
* Enroll new and transferred hourly employees into the time clock system and provide training on how to use the time clock as needed.
* Work collaboratively with Human Resources, Central Payroll and DTS departments to address concerns in order to complete the payroll cycle accurately and timely.
* Utilize the electronic document storage system to organize, file, view and retrieve back up documentation.
* Attend and actively participate in staff/departmental meetings to ensure effective communication.
* Record and submit weekly activity reports to supervisor within designated timeline.
* Present time and attendance training to new supervisory personnel and set up User ID within an established timeline.
* Scan/deliver appropriate revisions/on demand check requests to Central Payroll adhering to established deadlines.
* Cross train with co-workers on department assignments.
* Create a personal reference manual on rules, SOP's and policies.
* Effectively use the time and attendance system to cross check weekly postings for accuracy.

Skills:

Essential:
* Knowledge of business English, proper spelling, grammar, punctuation, and basic arithmetic
* Skill in operating various word-processing, spreadsheets, document retrieval systems and database software programs in a Windows environment.
* Ability to develop or enhance training programs utilizing excellent presentation and communication skills.
* Ability to inform and communicate verbally and in writing in diverse and challenging situations with the ability to process information effectively, identify and define problems and make objective decisions.
* Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds and with co-workers at all levels.
* Ability to learn the tip process: to post tips when applicable and/or assigned.
* Ability to learn the monetary adjustment process.
* Ability to learn to efficiently read the HR system in relation to time and attendance records in order to answer employee questions and verify revisions.
* Ability to learn to run process reports from the HR system, such as Leave of Absences (LOA).
* Ability to learn to run process reports from the time and attendance system relative to timecards, tips, punch detail, and history.
* Ability to learn to create special reports such as Gaming Supervisory Listing and weekly/quarterly overtime.
* Ability to learn second contract processing.
* Ability to write clear and concise reports, memoranda, directives, and letters.
* Ability to multitask when needed while meeting strict deadlines.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
* Must be a team player.
* Must be detail oriented and ability to seek continuous improvement in results.

Essential:
* General Ed, High School Equivalency Diploma, HS Diploma
* A Combination of Experience and Education May Be Considered
* Applicants age 50 and older are exempt from this requirement
Nonessential:
* Associates Degree in Accounting
* Associates Degree in Finance
* Associates Degree in Human Resources

Must pass a background check to meet Employment Eligibility Requirements. If applicable, must pass a background check to meet Oneida Nation/State Compact and/or Oneida Nation Gaming Ordinance, and may be required to obtain a temporary license and/or Gaming license as a condition of employment.

Must be willing and able to obtain additional related education and training.

Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and adhere to the Nation Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy.

A Tuberculosis (TB) Screening and/or a 2 step TB Skin Test is required within thirty (30) days of employment.

Must provide a copy of diploma/degree, license, or certification upon employment.
