Site Description:

Reporting to the Security Operations Lead, the Mobile Officer is integral to the functioning of Paladin field operations and business continuity. In this dynamic role, officers must have strong time management and multitasking skills, as well as a high level of customer service. Mobile officers are required to work independently while maintaining coordination with coworkers; they must be both flexible and adaptable.

Position Details:

Position: Full-Time& Casual Non Healthcare Security Guard

Site: Mobile Patrols, St. John's area

Payrate: $20.00/hour

Available Schedules:

Full-time: Monday–Friday (0630–1430) Overtime: Overtime after 80 hours (bi weekly)Casual: Saturday & Sunday (1430–2230)

Key responsibilities:       

• Patrol Grounds: Conduct regular mobile patrols of assigned sites, including parking areas, to ensure safety and security.
• Monitor Surveillance Systems: Operate security cameras and alarm systems, reporting suspicious activity as required.
• Access Control: Monitor and control entry points to ensure only authorized individuals access restricted areas.
• Respond to Emergencies: Act quickly in emergency situations such as fire alarms, security threats, or other incidents.
• Customer Service: Provide professional assistance to tenants, visitors, and staff as required.
• Conflict Resolution: De-escalate tense situations and resolve conflicts professionally.
• Report Writing: Accurately document daily activities, incidents, and accidents.

Prerequisites:       

• Valid Criminal Record Check
• Valid First Aid & CPR – Level C (CSA-approved vendor)
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License
• Clean Driver's Abstract (required)
• Minimum 2 years of driving experience in Canada
• English fluency (oral and written)
• Certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)
• • Applicants without these may complete Paladin's UoF/MOAB pre-hire training
  • Training is unpaid; Paladin covers costs with a 6-month commitment
