Position: Shift Supervisor
Site: Forensic Services and Coroner's Complex
City: 25 Morton Shulman Ave, Toronto
Status: Full-Time
Hours: Continental Days (0600-1800 hrs.)
Pay Rate: $21.63/ hr
Site Description: Replacing the 35-year-old facility near Yonge and College, the new Forensic Services and Coroner's Complex (FSCC) is set to revolutionize forensics in Canada with its state-of-the-art facility, capable of keeping pace with technological advances and supporting increasingly complicated investigations. The 50,000 square-meter complex, which will serve as the headquarters for the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service, the Office of the Chief Coroner, and the Centre of Forensic Sciences, contains five floors centered around an expansive atrium, as well as one underground floor.
Shift Supervisor
- Principle contact/carrier of Security site mobile phone: Respond to all incoming phone calls and delegate tasks to the Security team as needed.
- Oversee and coordinate duties of 3-8 guards per shift, including the Events Guard, Security Operations Guard, Main Desk Guard, Patrol Guard, Shipping and Receiving Guard, Parking Guard and Coroners Courts Guards as required.
- Respond to all Emergency incidents (Police/Fire/Ambulance) and coordinate (as needed) all involved personnel.
- Conduct daily review of Security Incident Reports
- Conduct Inspections of all Security Personnel to ensure proper deportment and adherence to Policy and Procedures
- Responsible for the training of any new staff, and remedial training of existing Security Personnel
- Ensure completion of all Daily Assigned Tasks/Audits
- Ensure all Daily Reports and Logs are submitted at the End of Shift.
- Ensure all site Security Policy and Procedures are adhered
- Interacting with employees, visitors, and clients to provide assistance and ensure a safe environment.
- Capable to handle and resolve conflicts, make quick decisions, and respond effectively to emergencies.
- Effectively lead, manage, and motivate a team of security personnel.
Prerequisites:
A Valid Ontario Security Guard License
Valid WSIB Approved Standard Level First Aid and CPR Level c
2 Years of Security or relevant Experience
A police Foundations Diploma is considered an asset.

Standard First Aid, CPR Level C
Valid Ontario Security License
Minimum of 2 years security experience
Police Foundation Diploma
