Job Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle recruitment from requisition intake through offer acceptance and onboarding
- Partner with hiring managers to understand hiring needs, workforce requirements, and role-specific criteria
- Provide guidance and recommendations to hiring managers on recruitment strategies, timelines, and talent availability
- Source candidates using job boards, applicant tracking systems, referrals, talent pools, career fairs, and proactive outreach
- Conduct prescreen interviews, structured interviews, and reference checks
- Prepare, post, and manage internal and external job postings
- Support offer preparation and deliver employment offers in alignment with approved compensation and policies
- Coordinate onboarding and pre-assignment requirements
- Act as a point of contact for new hires during onboarding to ensure a smooth and positive experience
- Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential candidate and employee records within the ATS/HRIS
- Track and report recruitment metrics including hiring volumes, time-to-fill, attrition, and turnover reasons
- Identify recruitment trends, challenges, and opportunities for process improvement
- Ensure hiring and onboarding practices comply with employment legislation, privacy regulations, and corporate policies
- Respond to candidate and employee inquiries in a timely, professional, and service-oriented manner
- Support employee retention initiatives, including follow-ups and occasional site visits to engage field staff
- Organize and participate in career fairs, hiring events, and recruitment campaigns
- Assist with recruitment related HR administration including data entry, reporting, and document management
- Support additional People & Culture initiatives and projects as required
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- 1-3 years of experience in talent acquisition, recruitment, or Human Resources
- Completion of a Human Resources diploma or equivalent from a recognized post-secondary institution
- Hands-on experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and/or HR information systems (HRIS)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
