Summary of Job Description:
The Construction Project Specialist is responsible for coordinating with and between the Project Manager, General Contractor, Architect and other vendors to help ensure the timely and successful completion of new store construction projects. The Specialist works closely with the Project Manager to ensure all construction-related documents are produced using the RD Project Management System. This position is also responsible for managing the relationship with store construction-related service vendors.
You'll get a chance to:
- Coordinate with and between the Project Manager, General Contractor, Architect, and other vendors to help ensure the timely and successful completion of new store construction projects.
- Work closely with the Project Manager to oversee production of all construction-related documents using the RD Project Management System.
- Manage the company's relationship with construction service vendors and ensure vendors are aligned with the company's philosophy and growth plans.
- Evaluate current and potential vendors in coordination with Project Managers based on detailed service installation specifications, identifying where to expand the relationship.
- Work closely with the Project Manager using the PRG Project Management System to prepare and produce documents related to the bidding process with general contractors and service vendors.
- Assemble and distribute bidding documents, construction contract agreements, etc.
- Work with project consultants and Project Managers to coordinate and prepare required construction documents during the construction process in support of the Project Management team.
- Include drawing production, permitting, etc., to ensure meeting milestones up to the start of construction.
- Set up utilities such as telephone, power, water, gas, trash, and satellite TV for new construction.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders and service requests for new stores.
- Process construction service-related invoices and charge-backs and resolve outstanding invoices (e.g., security, music, etc.).
- Ensure timely close-out of construction projects.
- Collect and produce all necessary close-out documents for the Project Management team.
- Support Operations management with any store-related service requests.

Your background and experience:
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering or related field
- Minimum three years of work experience, preferably in a retail/hospitality organization
- Successful completion of initial and periodically required trainings.
- Obtaining a valid Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment is a requirement of this position.
Pay Range: P2: $72,500 - $101,500 / Annual
* Within the range, individual pay is determined using various factors, including work location and experience.

While performing duties, counter areas are often hot with steam from steam table and food vapors. Workspace is restricted and employees are generally expected to remain standing for long periods of time. Employees must prepare hot and cold foods, use Chinese cook knife and other kitchen equipment and work quickly without losing accuracy. Employees must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., stand up to four hours and reach across counter tops measured at 36 inches to serve customers. Kitchens are hot and noise levels are usually high; storage space is limited and shelving is high. Employees must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment, have effective verbal communication skills, ability to adapt to a dynamic environment with changing priorities, and the ability to manage conflicts/difficult situations.
