Summary of Job Description:

The Human Resources Associate Manager (SC) partners with assigned Support Center client group(s) to lead and support recruiting and staffing initiatives, associate relations, and leadership development.  This position works with leadership to enroll associates in the company's mission, values, and culture. 


You'll get a chance to:

  • Develop and execute staffing plans for assigned client group(s) to ensure both internal and external pipeline of all candidates at all levels.  
  • Partner with recruiters or directly sources candidates using internet postings, Open House events, college recruiting, job fairs, etc., and follow up with new hires to ensure adequate and proper training.
  • Partner in the facilitation of People Planning to evaluate internal candidates and identify high potential associates for assigned client group(s).  
  • Work with functional leaders on determining promotions and development opportunities.
  • Responsible for handling basic associate relations issues.  Investigates associate complaints and disputes, but involves more senior HR personnel in achieving resolution.
  • Conduct/facilitate Support Center training and development sessions as needed.  Topics may include 7 Habits, Sexual Harassment, Interviewing Skills, Conducting Effective Performance Reviews, etc.
  • Coach and advise leadership of assigned client group(s) on issues related to hiring, associate performance, career and personal development, associate concerns, and terminations.  
  • Conduct exit interviews to understand opportunities for improved retention.

Your background and experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree required; business and/or HR majors and PHR/SPHR or equivalent preferred.  
  • Minimum five years of HR experience, with minimum of three years HR Generalist experience in employee relations, training and development, and recruiting, preferably in a retail/hospitality operations environment.
  • Successful completion of initial and periodically required trainings.
  • Obtaining a valid Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment is a requirement of this position.
