Summary of Job Description:

The Manager, Finance (Corporate, RD & HR), is responsible for serving as the Finance partner to the Restaurant Development and Human Resources departments and works closely with these teams to manage their budgets. This position identifies opportunities to enhance the financial performance of Restaurant Development projects as well as leading/assisting Human Resources in analysis to understand the impact of pay and policy decisions. This position manages, coaches and develops Financial Analyst(s).


You'll get a chance to:

  • Serve as the primary Finance partner to the Restaurant Development department, identifying opportunities to enhance the financial performance of Restaurant Development projects.
  • Assist Restaurant Development in determining the financial impact of potential store development, closure, and remodeling.
  • Develop in-depth analysis and financial tools for the Restaurant Development team to identify trends, interpret results, and optimize profit both at the restaurant and corporate level.
  • Provide insights to support the decision making around RD projects.
  • Provide objective advice and perspective to FAST leadership and other functional/Operations leaders. 
  • Perform ROI, profitability, and variance analysis. Works on ad hoc projects.
  • Responsible for the real estate proforma model used for site acquisition and lease renewals.
  • Provide real estate support for RESAC presentations.
  • Lead the annual capital planning process and provides periodic reporting and analysis for the company's capital spend including variance to budget and forecast.
  • Serve as the primary Finance partner to the Human Resources department, leading or assisting with analysis to understand the impact of pay and policy decisions.
  • Manage the financial planning processes by providing RD and HR financial performance updates (e.g. labor, bonus, restaurant related spend, capital and depreciation) variance to budget and forecast throughout the year.
  • Lead a team of Financial Analyst(s), coaching and developing associate(s) to elevate their performance.
  • Provide growth in competencies and technical performance.

Your background and experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or related field; MBA preferred
  • Minimum five years of financial planning and analysis (FP&A) in restaurant, hospitality, or retail with increasing management responsibility; experience with a planning tool such as PowerBI, Tableau, Oracle EPM (Hyperion Essbase) required
  • Successful completion of initial and periodically required trainings.
  • Obtaining a valid Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment is a requirement of this position.


Pay Range: M2: $112,500 - $158,000 / Annual

* Within the range, individual pay is determined using various factors, including work location and experience.


ADA Statement:

While performing duties, counter areas are often hot with steam from steam table and food vapors. Workspace is restricted and employees are generally expected to remain standing for long periods of time. Employees must prepare hot and cold foods, use Chinese cook knife and other kitchen equipment and work quickly without losing accuracy. Employees must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., stand up to four hours and reach across counter tops measured at 36 inches to serve customers. Kitchens are hot and noise levels are usually high; storage space is limited and shelving is high. Employees must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment, have effective verbal communication skills, ability to adapt to a dynamic environment with changing priorities, and the ability to manage conflicts/difficult situations.
