Summary of Job Description:

 The Remodel Project Manager (Construction) is responsible for contributing to the achievement of the company's Refresh and Remodel programs. This position manages the construction of remodels in all phases of project development, including construction, architecture, and engineering coordination required for the complete development of assigned company restaurants. The Project Manager is responsible for completing all construction projects within the required turnover date and budget.


You'll get a chance to:

  • Lead the construction of Remodels in all phases of project development, including construction, architecture, and engineering coordination required for the complete development of assigned company restaurants within the required turnover date and within budget to achieve yearly store opening plan.
  • Support Real Estate and Asset Management in their research for lease required remodels, including due diligence, feasibility studies, cost estimates, floor plans and site plans.
  • Work with other functions to ensure desirable store designs that meet local codes, landlord requirements, and Panda standards.
  • Ensure the completion of required approval processes, including governmental agencies, developers/Landlords and other entity required to complete the approval process.
  • Oversee the construction bidding, awarding and contract issuance and develops a pool of qualified General Contractors in their respective area.
  • Develop strong relationships with other functions and works closely with Operations to ensure new stores are successfully turned over as scheduled.
  • Notify Operations of any updated and schedule changes.


Work Environment:

  • Field-based position: 60% travel across the US.

Your background & experience:

Bachelor's degree in architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience required

  • Minimum five years of construction project management experience, preferably in the retail/hospitality environment
  • Successful completion of initial and periodically required training
  • Obtaining a valid Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment is a requirement of this position.
  • If hired, successful completion of annual store training


Pay Range: M2: $112,500 - $158,000 / Annual

* Within the range, individual pay is determined using various factors, including work location and experience.



ADA Statement:

While performing duties, counter areas are often hot with steam from steam table and food vapors. Workspace is restricted and employees are generally expected to remain standing for long periods of time. Employees must prepare hot and cold foods, use Chinese cook knife and other kitchen equipment and work quickly without losing accuracy. Employees must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., stand up to four hours and reach across counter tops measured at 36 inches to serve customers. Kitchens are hot and noise levels are usually high; storage space is limited and shelving is high. Employees must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment, have effective verbal communication skills, ability to adapt to a dynamic environment with changing priorities, and the ability to manage conflicts/difficult situations.
