Description

The IT Systems Analyst II analyzes, designs, supports, and documents computer information systems, serves as an integral project leader by actively participating in the design of systems solutions, managing configuration, testing, quality control, implementation, and provides ongoing support to users through training, maintenance, and troubleshooting.  This position requires an individual that can work well in a team environment and is able to partner closely with IT Business Analysts and confer daily with supporting teams (Infrastructure, Development, Information Security, Legal and Risk) for successful project collaboration.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform technical assessments, analysis, configurations, testing and documentation of new or existing systems.
  • Implement, maintain and upgrade 3rd party on-premises and SaaS application systems
  • Conduct research as it pertains to a given set of solution requirements.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors for systems and third-party applications.
  • Analyze and translate complex business requirements into a functional system design document.
  • Uses knowledge of current applications, interfaces, and data structures to recommend solutions and provide input to business units.
  • Guide and advise IT Business Analysts on technical best practices.
  • Regularly apply advanced data analysis skills to understand detailed data flows between systems and within systems.
  • Implement disaster recovery plans, including disaster recovery testing and reporting.
  • Prepare users by designing and conducting training programs through references and support.
  • Understand points of interaction and impact on other systems across the enterprise.
  • Manage the installation of OS patches and software upgrades.
  • Submit information for budgets and monitors expenses.
  • Manage software asset inventory and licensing.
  • Maintain skillset by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Conduct and/or participates in audits and assessments as required to maintain security controls.
  • Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Regularly provide guidance and direction to junior systems analysts

Documentation:

  • Document specific duties, activities, problems solved, and issues resolved.
  • Write user and admin training guides when necessary.

Miscellaneous:

  • Attend meetings and serves on committees, as requested.
  • Perform additional duties and assignments as requested.


Qualifications

Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor's degree

Experience:

  • 2+ years of Systems Analyst or Systems Administration experience or 1 year of experience combined with a technical degree.
  • Experience with systems implementation projects.
  • Experience with production and disaster recovery systems/application support.
  • Experience with script writing and scheduling.
  • Knowledge and analytical skills of systems integration through web services, ETL, etc.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to have face to face interactions with Business / stakeholders.
  • Splunk searching, reporting and analysis
  • Experience with any of: Microsoft Powershell, Python, Bash, SQL
  • Understanding of Azure AD as an identity provider (for SSO).
  • Has CompTIA, or vendor specific certification(s).
  • Experience with systems implementations
  • Experience with Windows Server
  • Experience with RHEL
  • Experience with MSSQL Server
  • Experience with the Atlassian suite of products; Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence
  • Experience with SaaS administration; SSO configuration, user management, reporting

  • Experience with Sales & Marketing technology; Salesloft, Zoominfo, LinkedIn, Wrike
