Description

This role is for a marketing researcher with an analytical, creative, strategic mindset combined with both primary and secondary research experience in a corporate marketing department. Responsible for supporting and evaluating marketing research efforts, and providing strategic insights and actionable recommendations for messaging, targeting, and decision making. Also responsible for managing a wide range of initiatives across the full research project life cycle from start to completion.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support all phases of primary marketing research projects – both quantitative and qualitative – including but not limited to research design, questionnaire development, analysis, storytelling, and presentation optimization
  • Drive quality control processes at each step of the research life cycle from checking survey programming logic, recruitment, data analysis, reporting, proofing reports, accuracy checks, and more
  • Review all information sources for validity, accuracy, and usage
  • Collaborate with content and campaign teams to advise on content creation and campaign related assets and ensure proper and consistent research and statistics usage
  • Review external research sources for marketing use and ensure proper and consistent citation, and audit the use of research and statistics for quality control
  • Translate complex data into concise, clear, accurate, relevant, compelling, timely, and strategic insights and actionable recommendations via visual, creative, and persuasive storytelling from multiple sources
  • Monitor and analyze market and industry trends, competitive landscape, and industry developments
  • Support all Research Team initiatives


Qualifications

Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor's degree

Experience

  • 3+ years of marketing research experience

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, marketing research or a related field
  • MMR, MBA, or graduate degree in a related field

Experience:

  • Corporate marketing department experience
  • 5+ years of client-side marketing research experience
  • B2B industry research experience
  • Experience visualizing data via software tools
  • Experience with survey programming software

Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong planning and analytical skills
  • Statistics knowledge and proficient in statistical analysis, and familiarity with statistical significance testing is preferred
  • Able to work collaboratively with the marketing department and other internal teams
  • Ensure voice of customer and client at forefront of all decision making
