Position Summary:

The VP of Product Marketing will be a strategic marketing leader working with the SVP Marketing, product-line leadership, and cross-functional teams to drive growth and market positioning for B2B product and service lines. This role will lead comprehensive marketing strategies that translate complex transportation solutions into compelling value propositions for enterprise clients while supporting PTS, PTL, and PL business units. The position requires developing integrated go-to-market strategies, managing product positioning and messaging, and orchestrating demand generation initiatives that drive pipeline growth and market share expansion.

The Vice President will play a critical role in driving revenue growth, strengthening customer acquisition and retention, and elevating Penske's competitive position in the B2B transportation marketplace. This leader will collaborate closely with product development, research, strategy, and sales teams to align marketing initiatives with business objectives and emerging market opportunities. By leveraging data-driven insights, the VP will ensure that Penske's B2B offerings achieve maximum market impact through strategic marketing execution, compelling brand positioning, and a deep understanding of enterprise customer needs in an evolving and competitive landscape.

We are currently hiring for 2 of these roles:

• One to support Penske Truck Leasing

• One to support Penske Logistics

Qualified candidates for these roles will have at least ten years of progressive marketing experience, including at least five years in a leadership capacity overseeing teams, budgets, and performance. Optimal candidates will possess a strong expertise in brand development, campaign management, and leveraging data and technology to drive strategic, results-oriented marketing initiatives. Qualified candidates will have strong understanding of B2B enterprise sales and marketing cycle Specific experience in the transportation and supply chain industry is highly preferred. This position reports to the SVP of Marketing and will be based in our corporate offices in Reading/Green Hills, PA. This position has in office requirements of at least 3-4 days with occasional travel (10%).

Major Responsibilities:

Strategic Marketing Leadership & Planning

• Develop comprehensive marketing strategies for B2B product and service lines aligned with business objectives.

• Partner with SVP Marketing to establish marketing priorities and resource allocation.

• Create annual marketing plans with measurable goals for lead generation and revenue growth.

• Lead cross-functional collaboration with product development, sales, and strategy teams.

Go-to-Market Strategy & Execution

• Design and orchestrate integrated go-to-market strategies for new and existing product lines.

• Coordinate with sales teams to ensure seamless handoff of marketing leads to sales.

• Establish competitive landscape analysis and product-line positioning frameworks.

Product Positioning & Messaging

• Transform complex transportation solutions into compelling, customer-focused value propositions.

• Develop differentiated positioning against competitors in the B2B transportation marketplace.

• Create messaging frameworks that resonate with decision-makers and influencers.

• Ensure consistent brand voice and positioning across customer touchpoints.

Demand Generation & Pipeline Development

• Lead demand generation initiatives to drive qualified pipeline growth.

• Develop multi-channel marketing campaigns targeting enterprise prospects.

• Implement account-based marketing strategies for key client segments.

• Optimize lead scoring, nurturing, and handoff processes with sales teams.

Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Build and lead high-performing marketing teams across product lines.

• Develop talent through coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities.

• Manage relationships with product lines, external agencies, consultants, and other business partners.

• Present marketing performance and strategic recommendations to executive leadership.

Other projects and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, Economics, Marketing, Management, Communications or related field required.

• Master's Degree preferred. If no degree, equivalent work experience is required.

• 10+ years of progressive experience in marketing roles. Strategic marketing leadership and development of teams, product-line campaign management and/or brand development.

• 5 years of experience in oversite of marketing teams including hiring, coaching/mentoring, budgets and performance management.

• Qualified candidates will have strong understanding of B2B enterprise sales and marketing cycle

• Prior experience in the transportation and supply chain industry highly preferred.

• Deep understanding of marketing strategy, industry trends, customer needs, and growth levers, with the ability to align marketing and business goals to drive measurable results.

• Skilled in leveraging data, analytics, and emerging technologies to interpret performance indicators and optimize marketing effectiveness.

• Proven ability to craft compelling brand narratives and integrated campaigns that strengthen market position and accelerate product growth.

• Strategic leader adept at long-range planning while executing near-term priorities through strong project management and cross-functional collaboration.

• Trusted thought partner to executive leadership, with the presence and influence to shape C-level decisions and organizational direction.

• Experienced in managing external agencies and ensuring high-quality, on-brand deliverables that meet company objectives and timelines.

• Exceptional communicator who can distill complex insights and strategies into clear, actionable messages for diverse stakeholders.

• Demonstrates agility, resilience, and accountability, continuously adapting to new information and maintaining the highest standards of integrity and performance.

• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job

• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.
