• Unit Information: IVCU – Interventional Care Unit
• Number of Beds – 18
• Number of Staff – 6 nurses, 1 aide per shift
• Patient Ratios – typically 3 patients to 1 nurse. May see 4 patients to 1 nurse
• Type of staff: Day Shift – 6 nurses, 1 aide per shift, Night Shift – 6 nurses, 1 aide per shift
• Type of equipment – telemetry monitor, Doppler, cardiac monitors, a-lines, TR bands, sheaths
• EMR – Meditech
• Preferred or nice to have: PCCN, Pre and post nursing care for vascular surgery, cardiac surgery, cath lab
• List typical procedures performed on unit(s): Cardiac cath lab interventions, vascular surgery, 1 or 2 day post-op open heart, STEMI, stroke
