What You Will Do: What You Will Do:
As a Department Support Associate, you'll be the first point of contact for patients and visitors at our Occupational and Employee Health Clinic. You'll help create a welcoming, organized experience while keeping front desk operations running smoothly.
- Welcome and check patients in and out of the clinic
- Verify demographics and insurance information and collect applicable payments
- Schedule and reschedule appointments and help coordinate provider schedules
- Answer incoming calls, respond to questions and route messages to the appropriate team member
- Notify the clinical team when patients arrive and help communicate any delays
- Maintain accurate information in the electronic medical record and Occupational Health systems
- Process payments, mail, faxes and other front desk documentation
- Partner with the clinical team to provide a friendly, efficient experience from arrival through checkout
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of related experience in medical office registration and customer service
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience working with electronic medical records
- Strong customer service, communication and organizational skills
- Comfort managing multiple priorities in a busy front desk environment while providing a welcoming patient experience
