Lab Services Specialist / Phlebotomist - ProHealth Medical Group Brookfield Clinic (Part-Time)
ProHealth Medical Group's Brookfield Clinic is hiring a Lab Services Specialist / Phlebotomist to join our dedicated team. This part-time position (0.5 FTE) is 20 hours per week, part time benefits eligible.
Schedule Details: Monday 12:00 PM-5:45 PM, Tuesday 12:00 PM-7:15 PM, Friday 12:00 PM-5:30 PM, every other Saturday 7:45 AM-11:00 AM.
What You Will Do: Perform phlebotomy on pediatric and adult patients, ensuring positive patient identification. Instruct patients on proper non-blood specimen collection and answer questions related to lab procedures. Respond to requests for specimen collection throughout the clinic. Prepare specimens for processing, handle urgent pickups, and ensure proper labeling and transport. Monitor and restock supplies, track expiration dates, and maintain cleanliness in lab areas. Assist with training and orientation of new team members.
What You Will Need: High School Diploma or equivalent. Completion of a formal phlebotomy program at a technical training school or at least two years of experience in a clinical lab environment.

What You Will Do:
The Lab Service Specialist performs phlebotomy on clinic patients.
Some of the responsibilities include:
- Draw/obtain blood specimen from patients by mean of venipuncture or capillary collection
- Makes positive patient identification
- Explains the procedure and purpose of steps being performed
- Pulls orders from EMR, enters orders into EMR from outside providers, links orders to appointments, assign venipuncture and handling charges to the order in EMR
What You Will Need:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a formal phlebotomy program at a technical training school or equivalent experience (2 years in a clinical lab environment) *CA #LI-MO
