Responsibilities:   ·        Patient Population – Child & Adolescent. ·        Provides psychiatric diagnostic assessments, evaluates the need for medications, and prescribe as indicated. ·        Makes recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment ·        Attend and participate in clinical staff meetings ·        Paneled Provider; Call coverage weeknights and weekends ·        Our Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners are a critical part of our clinical team.   Requirements:   ·        Fully licensed in Wisconsin • PMHNP - BC ·        2+ years as a psych/mental health nurse practitioner   We offer our Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners:   ·        Flexible work schedules: Combination of on site and telehealth work ·        No inpatient work, no weekends. ·        Full administrative support (scheduling & billing) ·        EMR - EPIC ·        Collegial work environment ·        Strong work/life balance

Schedule Details: Responsibilities:•Patient Population - Pediatric/Adolescent. •Provides psychiatric diagnostic assessments, evaluates the need for medications, and prescribes as indicated.•Makes recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment •Attend and participate in clinical staff meetings •Our Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners are a critical part of our clinical team.•After-hour clinic call on weekdays and weekdays for outpatient on a rotating basis.We offer our Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners the following: •Flexible work schedules: Combination of onsite and telehealth work •No inpatient work •Full administrative support (scheduling & billing) and nursing support for callbacks and refills during business hours.•EMR - EPIC •Collegial work environment and easy availability of in-house collaborating psychiatrists if needed.•Strong work/life balanceHours and location:Business hours, no weekends. Professional Office Building at Waukesha Memorial Hospital and other satellite locations as needed.  

What You Will Do:

Works in collaboration with physicians to manage care for patients in a psychiatric setting. Orders, interprets, and records results of clinical tests and reports results to physicians. Prescribes medications and makes recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment. Provides primary care to psychiatry and at-risk patients. Requires a master's degree. Requires Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) in specialty area based on RN licensure and state authority for advanced practice. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.

 

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Nursing
  • AHA Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) or ability to obtain at time of hire.
  • Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) in specialty area based on RN licensure and state authority for advanced practice
  • Fully licensed in Wisconsin PMHNP-BC
  • 2+ years as a psych/mental health Nurse Practitioner preferred
