At Qualtrics, we create software the world's best brands use to deliver exceptional frontline experiences, build high-performing teams, and design products people love. But we are more than a platform—we are the creators and stewards of the Experience Management category serving over 18K clients globally. When you join one of our teams, you'll be part of a nimble group that's empowered to set aggressive goals and move fast to achieve them. Strategic risks are encouraged and complex problems are solved together, by passing the mic and iterating until the best solution comes to light. You won't have to look to find growth opportunities—ready or not, they'll find you. From retail to government to healthcare, we're on a mission to bring humanity, connection, and empathy back to business. Join over 5,000 people across the globe who think that's work worth doing.   Senior Staff Editor

Why We Have This Role

Qualtrics is in the middle of a brand transformation and a multi-year AI strategy. As we scale our content production and invest in brand building, we need someone who can be the fastidious champion of our verbal identity—not just editing words, but elevating how the entire company writes. This isn't a traditional copy editing role. You'll set the standard for written quality, build the systems that ensure consistency across every surface, and train teams to write in a way that makes Qualtrics unmistakably Qualtrics. You'll work across Go-to-Market and Product teams to create brand continuity and ensure content quality.

How You'll Find Success

  • Deep editorial judgment. You know the difference between good writing and great writing. You've seen enough to have impeccable taste, and you can articulate why something works or doesn't—from sentence-level mechanics to developmental structure.
  • Authority with empathy. You can set high standards and enforce them without alienating people. You influence across teams, train with clarity, and build systems that make it easier for others to do the right thing.
  • Systems thinker. You don't just fix individual pieces of content—you create the style guides, frameworks, and training materials that prevent problems at scale. You think about governance, not just edits.
  • AI fluency. You're comfortable working with generative AI in content workflows. You can assess AI outputs critically, understand where they succeed and fail, and build documentation that makes AI tools smarter over time.
  • Hands-on practitioner. You're not above editing. In fact, you regularly get your hands on content to stay sharp and set the example. You balance strategic oversight with tactical execution.

How You'll Grow

  • Shepherd the next chapter of our brand. This is a highly visible role that will champion a major evolution in our brand voice, as well as establishing and governing style guidelines.
  • Lead cross-functional alignment. You'll work across Marketing, Product, and UX to create verbal identity continuity both in the product and across all public facing materials.
  • Build something new. This role is pioneering. You'll define what "editorial stewardship" means for a company with an ambitious AI strategy, creating frameworks and systems that will set the standard for others. You'll be on the front lines of how we thoughtfully apply AI to content production.

Things You'll Do

  • Establish and maintain our written brand standards. Be the go-to for questions about our brand voice. Create our writing style guide (mechanics, usage/word choice, tone). Evolve all foundational verbal identity assets as needed over time.
  • Validate and refine AI use cases for content production. Work closely with our AI Marketing Operations team to assess the quality and accuracy of AI outputs. Build training documents and examples that tune our AI tools to write and edit in ways that match our brand standards.
  • Edit high-stakes content. Review and refine choice pieces across marketing—particularly content that requires elevated quality, strategic positioning, or represents the brand at critical moments. From time to time, you may pitch in on some writing, too.
  • Build editorial systems that scale. Create frameworks, checklists, and resources that help teams self-serve and maintain quality without constant oversight. Make good writing the path of least resistance. This includes training full-time employees and vendors on how to write on brand.
  • Drive brand continuity. Partner with UX and Content Design teams to ensure our verbal identity is consistent across GTM and product experiences. Build the systems and documentation that make cross-functional alignment sustainable.

What We're Looking For On Your Resume

  • Deep experience writing and editing for B2B tech—from proofreading and copy editing to developmental editing. You've worked across content types and have a strong sense of what good looks like.
  • You've previously created or been responsible for enforcing editorial style guides. You're detail-oriented and understand the difference between a writer's skill set and an editor's skill set.
  • Experience teaching, training, and managing change across teams. You've influenced how people work and can get buy-in from stakeholders who don't report to you.
  • Familiarity with AI in content production workflows. Ideally, you've experimented with or built processes around generative AI.
  • Track record of independently planning and executing complex, impactful projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Intellectual curiosity in staying current across the evolving marketing landscape to drive innovation and maintain relevance.
