Software Development Engineer II, Voice - Seattle

Things You'll Do
- Design and develop robust components and systems for the distributed processing of audio and textual data at scale, utilizing cutting-edge technologies and tools.
- Establish and refine operational practices to ensure the high availability and reliability of voice processing systems.
- Enhance your expertise in the telecom and audio processing domains, while deepening your understanding of industry standards.
- Create interactive tools for configuring and managing voice pipelines, optimizing user experience and operational efficiency.
- Investigate and leverage AI capabilities throughout every stage of the process and across all system components.
- Collaborate with colleagues across various locations and disciplines to achieve common goals.
What We're Looking For On Your Resume
- 2-5 years of experience in a full-stack web engineering position.
- Experience with building distributed systems in the cloud, preferably on AWS.
- Strong software engineering practices (e.g. unit testing, code reviews, design documents, architecture reviews). disciplined approach to testing and quality assurance.
- A commitment to continuous learning and improvement in technology and software development.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
What You Should Know About This Team
The Voice team of the Qualtrics Foundation Engineering Organization is responsible for building services and tools that handle and transcribe over 1M calls per day for hundreds of customers. Our tools operate entirely within the AWS environment, utilizing technologies such as Kubernetes, DynamoDB, SQS/SNS, RDS, DocumentDB, and more.
- We emphasize continuous skill development and learning. Our team is currently transitioning from Jenkins to GitLab CI and/or Spinnaker to enhance our deployment processes.
- We operate at a high scale, managing Amazon resource limits and continuously assessing our efficiency to improve our services.
- This team collaborates with various internal platforms and infrastructure teams, promoting a culture of transparent discussions and constructive design reviews.

For full-time positions, this pay range is for base per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, education, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be included in an employment offer, in addition to a range of medical, financial, and other benefits, based on eligibility criteria.
