Summary:
The Connectronics (RF) Systems Engineer is responsible for utilizing technical/product knowledge, along with software tools, to design complex systems/networks and create quotations, primarily for wireless communication networks. A Systems Engineer will also provide technical advice and troubleshooting, both internally with the sales teams and as a point of contact for external customers. In addition, a RF Systems Engineer will provide technical guidance and oversee various radio upgrading and testing projects, including the creation of the testing methodology, testing setup, and software tools.

What You'll Do:

  • Utilize technical/product knowledge, along with software tools, to design complex systems/networks and create quotations (primarily for wireless communication networks)
  • Provide technical advice and troubleshooting, both internally with sales teams and as a point of contact for external customers and vendors
  • Provide technical guidance and oversee various radio upgrading and testing projects, including the creation of testing methodology, testing setup, and software tools
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of all products purchased from our vendors, as well as industry trends and other technical developments
  • Evaluate and potentially test products that have been returned as part of the overall company RMA process
  • Participate in vendor-provided training, and provide technical training, both to internal sales teams and to external customers
  • Create and maintain internal software tools which may require some modest software programming, for example excel based tools written in VBA
  • Attend and exhibit at industry tradeshows, supporting the sales team and management with technical and industry expertise
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to any internal Engineering Technicians
  • Assist fellow employees at your location with any technology issues that may arise, as requested
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

4 Year / Bachelor's Degree - Required

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, preferably Electrical, Radio Frequency (RF), Systems, Electrical, Computer, or Network Engineering, or equivalent technical degree
  • Relationship building skills
  • Strong oral and written communication
  • Ability to react to shifting priorities
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Intrinsic motivation
