Summary:
The Region Pricing Manager is responsible for insuring pricing matrices are loaded into the ERP system accurately and timely with minimal errors to provide support to the region sales teams. Serves as main point of contact for assigned region regarding pricing inquiries for all issues related to price matrix loads for the region. Provides reporting and documentation to support field pricing efforts. Provides troubleshooting when pricing is not working as expected in the ERP system and communicates root cause and solutions. Communicates with suppliers as needed to secure documentation related to pricing contracts and to facilitate EDI transmission of contract data. Works well in a fast-paced environment and understands workload management based on seasonality. Communicates effectively to upper management and regions and provides key metrics on productivity and error rates for the team. Provides training and coaching to team members.

What You'll Do:

  • Analyze pricing and margin data and recommend pricing updates to meet margin improvement goals and strategies outlined by the company for assigned region
  • Work SPA (special pricing agreement) expiration report with sales and management to ensure renewals of cost and sell are completed in time to avoid lapses in customer service and profit leaks
  • Monitor vendor price increases and adjust resale pricing to maximize profitability
  • Identify system resale pricing errors and correct in ERP
  • Use standard reports to measure key pricing metrics such as percent overrides and take appropriate actions to address
  • Become an expert on all pricing software systems
  • Conduct sales training courses on improving profitability
  • Conduct pricing reviews, audits, specifically looking at 1) customer specific pricing, 2) matrices, 3) SPA utilization and renewal process 4) override rates. Identify potential changes, get acceptance from sales team, implement changes and measure results
  • Assist with set up of new customer specific price matrices for new product lines
  • Assist sales managers with segmentation of new customers – monitor new customer adds and unassigned category and ensure they are segmented
  • Works on special projects, analysis, or reports as requested by the Pricing Director
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

 

 

  • High School or GED - Required
  • 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree - Preferred
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Strong communication, team building and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated orientation to challenge the status quo and initiate change
  • Highly motivated, self-driven, and solution-oriented
