The position of VP National Solar Strategy will be based Remotely!Summary
The VP of National Solar Strategy is responsible for leading and building Rexel's overall solar commercial strategy for the business and working closely with the regions and the national team to gain alignment and support for sustainable profitable growth. This role will be responsible for coordinating national solar account business and working directly with the regions to improve our core expertise and ability to perform regional solar quotes and system layout. This role will also be responsible for our adjacent Energy Storage Systems (ESS) activity and coordinating the consolidated activity with the ESS segment lead.
What You'll Do
- Develop and execute the strategic vision and goals for national solar energy initiatives
- Direct multi-region solar sales strategies, market growth opportunities, ensuring optimal allocation of all resources, process changes and improvements, and operational procedures; evaluates the effectiveness of such strategies
- Develop short- and long-term solar goals and strategies, and ensure that business processes and operational controls are in place to support those goals and strategies
- Oversee national solar quotations and solar strategic accounts
- Help drive solar adoption and support from the regions as well as provide guidance and training
- Establish and maintain relationships with key customers, accounts, and partners
- Manage the budget, timeline, and quality of solar projects and programs
- Monitor and evaluate the performance and impact of solar projects and programs
- Identify and resolve issues and risks related to solar projects and programs
- Advocate and promote the benefits and opportunities of solar energy to various audiences
- Stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in the solar industry
- Monitor and analyze the sales performance and market trends
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and retention
- Help guide and direct the Energy Storage Systems strategy and integration with Rexel's solar offering
- Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Understanding of renewable energy products and manufacturers and their offering to the market
- A proven track record of successfully managing and delivering national large-scale and complex solar projects and programs
- A strong knowledge of the solar market, policies, regulations, and standards in the relevant country or region
- Ability to think critically about existing infrastructure and processes, and communicate projects, plans, and deliverables effectively to senior leadership
- A natural innovator with a proven ability to design new processes, automate, and simplify complexity and drive results with a high degree of buy-in from sales leadership and sales teams
- Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- A high level of creativity, innovation, and problem-solving skills
- A passion for renewable energy and sustainability
