Working with Richardson opens the door to a world of possibility. We currently have an opportunity for an Accounting Analyst at our U.S. Country Office. This position is responsible for the company's general accounting functions including month end journal entries and analysis, reconciliations, fixed asset accounting, budgets, external reporting and auditing.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for proper coding of transactions into the general ledger
Working with accounts payable and transportation departments to ensure all invoices are entered timely into the general ledger
Perform month end journal entries and account reconciliations
Complete monthly sales reports to provide to management for analysis
Conduct variance analysis to compare actual results with budgets and forecasts
Working with other departments to gather financial data and provide insights
Identifying opportunities to improve accounting processes and recommend solutions
Assisting with both internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries
Reviewing and approving employee monthly credit card reports
Serve as a back up for other positions as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field
2-5 years of experience in a corporate accounting environment, with a focus on financial analysis
Ability to accept, understand and complete projects as requested
Strong analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills
Proficiency in accounting software, spreadsheets, and other relevant tools
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present findings and recommendations
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines
A professional approach and positive attitude with a willingness to learn new technologies
