Working with Richardson opens the door to a world of possibility. We currently have an opportunity for an Administrative Assistant at our Barrhead, AB location. The Administrative Assistant provides support across the Milling facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides support to the Plant Administrator as required

  • Participates in new employee orientation with benefits and company orientation material

  • Aids in EH&S processes through administration and maintaining safety meeting minutes for the plant

  • Performs a variety of typing and administrative assignments

  • Completes special projects and administrative duties as required

  • Updates/creates Excel Spreadsheets  

  • Ensures visitors complete required documentation

  • Other ad hoc duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Administrative or other relevant education preferred

  • Grade 12 or equivalent

  • Administrative experience an asset

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Strong written communication skills

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time

  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Respect for the confidential nature of the department
