Overview of Job Responsibilities: Assist the family in understanding the scope and services of the program and the family#s role and responsibilities in the program Foster child and family participation in the development and understanding of the goals and interventions. Advocate and secure necessary community resources Model Advocate and secure necessary community resources Provide in home and in community mentoring and education to the parents/caregivers in order to enhance problem-solving, parenting effectiveness, and communication Organize and facilitate caregiver peer support groups, and develop peer leadership among caregivers Advocate with the family and child within the education system by attending school meetings and participating in the development of any school plans/IEP#s; and within other systems such as the courts, state agencies and community organizations. Assist in the development of community-based natural support Provide case management# # Job Requirements: Education Level -#High School Diploma Years of Experience -#1+ year of experience working in the human services field Licensing -#a valid MA Driver#s license and reliable transportation are required Skills/Abilities -#Bilingual (English/Spanish) is ideal, but not required.
