A premier health network, serving Eastern Indiana, is delighted to announce the launch of a new urology practice in its flagship hospital. A Urology Hospitalist with an interest in a defined schedule, inpatient work, and a commitment to providing world class care would be a fantastic addition to this growing department. This unique opportunity will allow a urologist to have immediate access to a robust patient volume and contribute to shaping the future of this new urology practice.
Hospital Highlights:
• Opportunity at flagship hospital, a 396-bed hospital, level II trauma center.
• The network's reputation for specialized centers of excellence, including cardiovascular care, cancer treatment, orthopedics, neurology, and women's health.
• Certifications for stroke care, cancer treatment, and bariatric surgery.
Position Highlights:
• Block schedule will be 7 days on/ 7 days off, from 7:00 am - 7:00 pm. Unrestricted call will be required for the night and will be 7:00 p - 7:00 am. A PA will take the first call at night to ensure provider is not being contacted or coming in unless necessary. Call is not very burdensome and the current providers do not have to come in often.
• Call will compensated for additional call days beyond the threshold of 10 days per month.
• Daily OR time for emergency cases and stones.
• 182 shifts are required per year to maintain full-time status/ benefits, and you will have the flexibility to work with the other urology hospitalists in the group for monthly scheduling.
• Dedicated support for practice growth and physician well-being, including locum tenens coverage and assistance from area urologists with inpatient and trauma call coverage while practice builds to 4 providers.
• This is a salaried position, with a highly competitive compensation package including a generous base salary in the 75th percentile, production bonus, commencement bonus, training stipend, relocation allowance, and options for student loan/medical debt repayment.
