1 Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Summary: Responds to stop smoking inquiries from the general public, using various available resources. Assists with the operational and functional needs of the New York State Smokers' Quitline program, including but not limited to: providing peer coaching; adhering to tracking and monitoring; enforcing program and Institute policies and procedures; serving as the subject matter expert on current program protocols.The pay range for this position is $42,703 - $54,507 which includes a comprehensive benefits package. The listed pay range reflects the range of potential compensation for this role. The actual offer may vary based on qualifications, skills, and experience Qualifications: Required Education and Experience
1. Associate's degree in an appropriate field and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time experience in a call center, customer service, or healthcare; or
2. High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time experience in a call center, customer service, or healthcare.
NOTES:
1. Must be a current non-smoker.
2. The incumbent will obtain and maintain Tobacco Treatment Specialist Training and National Certification within twelve months of appointment to this title as a condition of continued employment.
3. Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong customer service experience.
- Computer skills including customer service software.
- Counseling and or coaching experience.
- Knowledge of the tobacco quit process.
- Telephone or call center experience.
