Title: Nursing Student Intern

Temporary, Non-Benefited Company: Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center Department: Nursing Professional Development, Practice and Research Time Type: Part time Weekly Hours: 3.75 FTE: 0.0938 Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Summary: The Nursing Student Intern is under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, and provides fundamental nursing care while developing confidence and competence in clinical skills to support the transition into the registered nurse role after graduation. The position works within the nursing process to deliver direct patient care, ensuring safe and effective practices for assigned patients. Additionally, the role serves as a positive role model by fostering a supportive work environment, promoting quality patient care, and adhering to all policies and procedures of Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. Qualifications: Required Education and Experience

Certification Requirement
Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)

Education and Experience
Matriculation with at least one (1) year in an approved Nursing degree program and completion of two (2) semesters of clinical experience.

NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.

Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred qualifications for this position include current enrollment in an accredited nursing program with an anticipated graduation date between May 2026 and December 2026.
Applicants MUST to submit a cover letter, one positive reference letter, an unofficial transcript and current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification as part of their application.
Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly valued, as is prior healthcare or volunteer experience that demonstrates a commitment to patient care.
