0.9375 Summary: Are you a problem solver with a passion for ensuring accurate financial processes? We're seeking a dedicated Senior Medical Billing Clerk to join our team. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in managing patient accounts and resolving complex billing issues.

Responsibilities:

Analytical Expertise: You'll meticulously analyze patient accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance. When complex billing issues arise, you'll be the go-to person for resolution.

Team Mentorship: As a senior member of our billing unit, you'll train and guide your colleagues, sharing your knowledge and expertise.

System Vigilance: Monitoring daily reports for system errors is essential. Your attention to detail will help maintain smooth operations.

Problem Solving: When problems occur, you'll evaluate them thoroughly and take appropriate action. Your proactive approach ensures efficient processes.

Effective Communication: Reporting and resolving issues require clear communication. Your ability to articulate solutions is invaluable.

Salary range for this position is $44,201 - $53,413 annually which includes a comprehensive benefits package. Qualifications: Required Education and Experience

High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time experience in medical billing and follow-up procedures or a related field.

NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices. Preferred Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Healthcare Experience: 3-5 years in Hospital Medical Billing is preferred.
  • Claims Processing: Familiarity with medical claims processing and follow-up procedures.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Systems (Word, Outlook, Excel).
  • Medical Terminology: Understanding medical terminology enhances your effectiveness.
