- Pay Type: Exempt / Salary paid Twice Per Month
- Annual Salary Pay: $120,000 - $130,000 per year based on experience
- Schedule: Monday- Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm – Flexible

Under general supervision, has overall responsibility of the activities related to the design, planning, administration, maintenance, support and documentation for databases connected to a specific application or applications. Expertise in writing and debugging complex SQL statements, Understands the best ways to incorporate database requests into different applications. Proficient to work at the highest level with all aspects of database administration, design, development and database management system software (DBMS).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Administers and supports data structures used to store or reference data (db objects). Data objects include tables, indexes, sequences, stored procedures, views and others. Ensures optimum performance of these database objects and queries.
- Provides on-call support, solutions and guidance for database related application(s) inquiries, requests and problems.
- Collaborates with project teams in all aspects of product evaluations, design review, data requirements and application development projects. Recommends and evaluates software and hardware solutions
- Manages, supports and tests the application connectivity to the applicable database(s).
- Supports deployment of database application code to the production environment.
- Designs and maintains the application level monitoring solution(s) related to databases.
- Assists developers in the tuning of SQL statements to reduce the response time for users and reduce the resources used.
- Defines content and structure of the database and advises users on efficient techniques to extract data. May extract data from different source systems and load data extracted into the targeted database.
- Identifies and evaluates database requirements for specific applications and determines the efficient interaction for proposed solutions/functionality.
- Requests and maintains application service accounts.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience.
EXPERIENCE
- Four (4) years or more experience Database administration
- Four (4) years or more experience Expertise in Structured Query Language (SQL)

- Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices
KNOWLEDGE
- Knowledge of database design, file access methods, data standards, data control, data security, data modeling, and normalization; advanced level.
- Knowledge of back-up and recovery issues pertaining to database platforms. Proficient in database and relational database systems in general; advanced level.
- Proficient in one or more of the following: Oracle, SQL, Netezza, Greenplum or Knowledge of how different programming languages and frameworks interact with databases; advanced level.

Compensation Information :
The compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's relevant experience; education, including relevant degrees or certifications; work location; market data/ranges; internal equity; internal salary ranges; etc. The position may also be eligible to receive an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on the level and/or type.
