SUMMARY
The Inside Sales Rental Account Manager (IRAM) position will support the Rental Sales/Marketing division and will mainly support transactional and contractual business products such as but not limited to commercial rental and select care services. The IRAM's purpose is to increase Ryder's rental sales presence ensuring the generation of profitable new accounts while retaining existing accounts, as well as generating additional lease sales through qualification and lead exchange for the organization improving the lease sales productivity and performance for the Lease Sales organization. The end result should be pure rental revenue growth, improved profitability, and fleet growth in assigned locations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
SALES:
Develop leads through prospect marketing and telephone solicitation. Assess customer's needs and develops a proposal through the use of product knowledge. Work with rental operations to ensure the equipment is available. The IRAM is also responsible for identifying new business opportunities and quoting leveraged products such as but not limited to insurance sales, select care products, and used vehicle sales
SCOPE OF DECISION MAKING:
Contacting actual decision maker, developing a competitive proposal
CUSTOMER RETENTION:
Build and maintain a positive and proactive relationship with customers through multiple customer contacts and phone calls. Ensure quality service is provided by effectively handling customer complaints and staying abreast of customer needs and long term rentals
SCOPE OF DECISION MAKING:
Retaining customers in a price competitive market. Scheduling a time for retention reviews to long term rental customers to ensure Ryder keeps a good relationship
TIME ADMINISTRATION:
Proposal and contract development, maintaining customer files, preparation of follow-up correspondence and coordination with other BU departments. Maintaining FIS integrity and accuracy of customer data in the DPS system. Administration-credit approval, collections of receivables, maintenance-PM status and updates of scheduling.
SCOPE OF DECISION MAKING:
Follow-up within a specific time frame. Compliance with company procedures. Diplomatically dealing with collection of past due receivables
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs other duties as assigned
EDUCATION
H.S. diploma/GED
Bachelor's degree in marketing or related area of study preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Two (2) years or more experience in sales or equivalent sales training with high school degree or
0 to One (1) year experience in sales or equivalent sales training with a bachelors degree
0 to One (1) year experience in transportation and logistics industry preferred
SKILLS
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to build strong customer relationships.
. High energy, self directed, self motivated and able to work as part of a team as well
Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment.
Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills.
. Highly thorough and dependable and maintains a high degree of professionalism
Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors).
KNOWLEDGE
Working knowledge of Ryder procedures (i.e. credit, payment terms, insurance coverage, etc.); advanced level; preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); intermediate level; preferred.
Knowledge of CRM systems; intermediate level; preferred.

Compensation Information :
The compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's relevant experience; education, including relevant degrees or certifications; work location; market data/ranges; internal equity; internal salary ranges; etc. The position may also be eligible to receive an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on the level and/or type. Compensation ranges for the position are below:
