Job Description :

This is an entry-level, hands-on technical role designed for individuals passionate about cybersecurity and ethical hacking. Candidates should have a foundational understanding of information security concepts, networking basics, and system operations. Junior Penetration Testers will work closely with experienced team members to learn how to identify and exploit vulnerabilities using industry tools like Kali Linux, Metasploit Pro, and other open-source frameworks.

The ideal candidate is curious, eager to learn, and motivated to build a career in offensive security. You will have the opportunity to gain real experience use real-world attacks, supporting security assessments, and participating in collaborative exercises such as purple team engagements.

Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles, including confidentiality, integrity, and availability (CIA).

Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems.

Exposure to or coursework involving tools such as Kali Linux, Metasploit, Nessus, Burp Suite, Nmap, or Wireshark.

Interest in learning scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell (prior experience is a plus but not required).

Strong problem-solving skills and curiosity about how systems work and how they can be exploited.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially in documenting findings and writing simple reports.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Use tools such as Kali Linux and Metasploit Pro to identify vulnerabilities and assist in developing reports

• Support internal red team and purple team exercises, helping simulate attacker techniques and tactics

• Participate in reconnaissance activities such as information gathering, basic exploitation, and vulnerability scanning

• Learn and apply fundamental attack techniques, such as privilege escalation, password attacks, and lateral movement

• Collaborate with senior team members to remediate findings and improve security posture

• Stay current with emerging security threats, tools, and techniques

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform other duties and projects as assigned, with a focus on skill development.

Experience

  • Pursuing or recently completed a degree or certification in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • No professional experience required; home labs, coursework, or participation in cybersecurity clubs, CTFs, or personal projects is highly valued.
  • Desire to obtain a cybersecurity certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+, eJPT, OSCP) is a plus.

Compensation Information :

The compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's relevant experience; education, including relevant degrees or certifications; work location; market data/ranges; internal equity; internal salary ranges; etc. The position may also be eligible to receive an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on the level and/or type. Compensation ranges for the position are below:
